Is Reader really free?

Yes, no subscriptions, no accounts. The app is supported by optional, unobtrusive ads.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Once a book is imported, everything, reading and narration alike, happens entirely on your device.

What file formats are supported?

Reader currently supports ePub files.

What devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad, running the current version of iOS.

What voice does it read with?

The natural, on-device voice already built into iOS, the same one behind VoiceOver and Siri. Nothing is generated on a server, and every word is highlighted as it's spoken.

Is my reading data private?

Yes. There are no accounts, and voice synthesis happens entirely on-device, so nothing about what you read or listen to ever leaves your phone.

When is it coming to the App Store?

Soon. Reader isn't live yet. Email us and we'll let you know the moment it launches.
